The interest of the Institute of Wastewater Management and Water Protection is directed towards highly efficient solutions that preferably produce reusable material rather than waste. The focus is both on municipal and industrial wastewaters with a view on the whole process and mass flows. Their work on new sanitation systems is getting international attention. The variety of high- and low-tech solutions is opening new perspectives for many situations.
