The German Federal Environment Agency (UBA) is the scientific environmental authority under the jurisdiction of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), responsible for the most diverse range of topics. UBA assumes responsibility for the protection of the environment and of humankind against adverse environmental factors. The Environmental Advisory Assistance Programme for Central and Eastern Europe by UBA provides financial support for environmental capacity building and policy projects of WECF and partners in the EECCA region.
