The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a key donor of WECF water and sanitation programmes in the Eastern European, Caucasus & Central Asian region and in Afghanistan. The Minister of Development Cooperation has funded over 6 years WECF water and sanitation programmes in Afghanistan and 9 EECCA countries through its TMF and MFS funding, these programmes created access to safe water and sanitation for over 30.000 people from poor communities.
