The EU Council of ministers today released its position on the draft chemicals policy reform REACH. WECF is disappointed about the lack of political will of EU governments phase out hazardous chemicals.

"This will not ensure women and future generation are protected from chemicals out of control in Europe. It is appalling that carcinogenic chemicals will not be taken of the market when the detrimental health effects are so obvious" says Daniela Rosche, WECF REACH expert.

NGOs have released a statement on the council position in French and English.
