ELA partner Central Asian Alliance for Water successfully presents its 2009 ELA project to Regional Government
On 25 February, CAAW and Mehr- Sahvkat presented their 2009 ELA project: “Increasing the living standards of rural population by introducing new technologies of eco- sanitation concept to agriculture.”

On 25 February, Central Asian Alliance for Water (CAAW) and Mehr- Sahvkat presented their 2009 ELA project: “Increasing the living standards of rural population by introducing new technologies of eco- sanitation concept to agriculture.”
Participants received presentations on the project with great interest. The Regional Government of Osh Province expressed its willingness to support the project in terms of enlarging its' geographical scope throughout the whole south of Kyrgyzstan. The regional Sanitation and Epidemic Institution agreed on testing the excrements from Urine Diverting Dry Toilets as they will be ready to be used as organic fertilizers.
Outside visitors, Farmer Groups and local Mass Media participated.They were interested in the microcrediting of dry toilets, eager to learn about criteria and funding mechanisms. After the round table there was photo-exhibition, where all the visitors were able to be informed on the CAAW and Mehr-Shavkat activities, and on how the ecosan concept is used in daily life and in agriculture.
