SanWat Sector Survey of German NGO's: WECF Sanitation and Water Group supports the initiative by the German Forum Environment and Development (WG water).

WECF Sanitation and Water Group supports the initiative by the German Forum Environment and Development (WG water). As a follow up to the "International Year of Sanitation 2008" The SanWat initiative aims at strengthening civil society advocacy in national and international policy dialogues.

Who does what?

As a starting point for collaboration and knowledge management, the German Toilet Organization has developed an online survey to find out which German NGOs play a role in the water and sanitation sector. The survey results will be provided to all participants of the survey. A meeting of the participants will being considered in Berlin or Bonn in February / March 2010. All German NGOs that are active in one of these fields are invited to participate in the poll!

WECF unterstützt die SanWat-Initiative des Forums Umwelt und Entwicklung (AG Wasser). Im Nachgang zum "International Year of Sanitation 2008" zielt die SanWat-Initiative auf die Stärkung der zivilgesellschaftlichen Interessenvertretung im nationalen und internationalen Politikdialog.

Wer macht was?

Als Ausgangspunkt für Kooperation und Wissensmanagement hat die German Toilet Organisation eine Online-Befragung entwickelt, um herauszufinden, für welche deutsche NROs der Sanitär-, Wasser- bzw. Hygiene-Sektor eine Rolle in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit spielt. Die Ergebnisse der Erhebung werden allen Teilnehmern der Befragung zur Verfügung gestellt. Ein Treffen der Teilnehmer ist für Februar/März 2010 in Berlin oder Bonn angedacht. Alle deutschen NRO, die in einem dieser Felder aktiv sind, sind herzlichst eingeladen, sich an der Umfrage zu beteiligen!
