First of all, I want to thank the chair for the full participation of the women major group in this CSD. My name is Comfort, I am from Ghana. I am a teacher by profession. Women shape de future by preparing our children to become adults who take responsibility for our planet and our livelihoods, and whose values reflect equality respect, and honour. I now work for an NGO, Voices of African Mothers, where we improve women’s lot. We know that when we improve women’s livelihoods, they improve their families and communities livelihoods.

Without women, we cannot achieve Sustainable Development, without Women, we
cannot achieve any of the Millennium Development Goals. When women move, the world moves.
