NGOs get organised for the 7th Environment for Europe Ministerial Conference in Astana
WECF is supporting the European Eco-Forum, which is an alliance of some 200 Environmental NGOs in the UNECE region, to effectively participate in the 7th Environment for Europe Ministerial Conference which is taking place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from 21 - 23 of September

The NGO's will convene on Tuesday September 20st for their preparatory conference, which will take place in the "Palace of Independence" from 10 - 17 hours. Their the NGOs will share their policy recommendations and statements which have been prepared in the past months, and will be presented to the ministers during the conference.
At the EfE Minsterial Conference, the European Eco-Forum has assured that NGOs will have the possibility to actively participate in the high level roundtable debates of the ministers of environment from the over 50 UNECE countries. The focus will be on Green Economy and Water.
WECF and partner organisations are organising a side event on Friday 23st of September 'One sector’s Waste, other sector’s Resource –Resource Efficiency in the Water and Energy Sectors', see programme enclosed.
