One of the main environmental education programmes of Clean up Greece is the Annual Environmental Youth Conference, which was established in 2000 and has taken place successfully over the last years in Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion/Crete and Patras with participation of 5,500 students discussing issues such as:
- Environment & Olympics 2004
- The city I would like to live in
- My Neighbourhood

- Clean Energy
- Sustainable Schools.
The 7th Environmental Youth Conference with the title “Sustainable and Toxic Free Future” in the framework of the European Life/ENV Programme ‘SB-Med’ was organized in the following cities:

A Greek version of the WECF REACH brochure was published and distributed during and after the Youth Conference.
WECF goal
WECF supported the Youth Conference to increase public awareness and participation during the REACH process. Engaging youths and young adults at an early time is crucial to promote environmental awareness and to develop effective participations on a local, national and European level.
