Iedere dag gebruiken producten voor ons haar, huid en gezicht om onszelf mooier te maken, maar weet jij precies wat je smeert? Natuurlijk wil je niet weten dat die heerlijke luxe crème waarmee je je iedere ochtend verwent wel eens gevaarlijke rotzooi zou kunnen bevatten. Toch kan het zo zijn.

Ons vertrouwen in de cosmetica industrie is vaak gebaseerd op goedgelovigheid en niet op de ingrediënten op de verpakking lezen. De vrouwen van Women in Europe for a Common Future (WECF) werken samen met wetenschappers en hebben een voortrekkersrol in bewustmaking onder de cosmetica consument.

WECF maakt zich hard voor kritisch onderzoek naar onder andere parabenen, ftalaten en nanodeeltjes, omdat het niet ondenkbaar is dat deze stofjes in cosmetica grote gevolgen kan hebben.
