Ольга Сперанская из российской организации «Экосогласие» в 2009 году стала одной из шести лауреатов премии Голдмана, которую называют Нобелевской премией в области защиты окружающей среды. Ольга получила эту награду за работу по борьбе с загрязнением ядовитыми химическими веществами территорий Восточной Европы, Кавказа и Центральной Азии. Мы познакомились с Ольгой в Нью-Йорке на 18-й сессии Комиссии ООН по устойчивому развитию. В центре повестки дня сессии были как раз проблемы ликвидации опасных отходов и химикатов.
