This publication is a case study presenting the results of a 2 year project where Urine Diversting Dry Toilets were tested in different sizes and types, as well as soil-filters for cleaning household wastewater, by 4 NGOs in Kyrgystan. The publication is based on a survey carried out at the start of the project and once the toilets were in use by the households, and porivdes information on experience of using a urine diverting toilet pan, cleaning and maintenance of the toilet and reuse of sanitized urine as fertilizer.
