WECF publication presents 4 renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions for low income rural areas
The new WECF brochure presents how WECF experts and partners developed and adapted technolgies for solar water heaters, local insulation materials, biogas and solar food driers.
WECF developed a brochure on practical solutions for renewable energy and energy efficiency. The publication (supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Ministry for Environment, Nature Protection and Nuclear Safety) summarizes experiences with improved Solar Collectors, Solar Fruit driers, Energy Efficiency (Insulation) and Biogas by WECF, companies, universities and local NGO partners from the EECCA region in 2009.
WECF and its partners will continue their work in this area in 2010 and are planning to build their capacities with some more practical workshops in the regions (Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine) . More activities will also take place regarding renewable energy policy development, e.g. a the 2nd EU-Central Asia Energy and Climate Forum in Bishkek on April 21 and 22 2010.
