Energie & Klima

Der Klimawandel ist das wichtigste Umweltthema unserer Zeit. Er bedroht in den kommenden Jahrzehnten ernsthaft nachhaltige Entwicklung, Armutsbekämpfung, Frieden und Menschenrechte. Klimawandel und Energieversorgung sind eng miteinander verbunden, da zwei Drittel der globalen Emissionen durch den Energieverbrauch verursacht werden.

WECF implementiert auf beiden Bereichen Politiken, die miteinander verzahnt sind und sich ergänzen. Wir kooperieren dabei mit lokalen Organisationen, um durch die Implementierung von Projekten den Zugang zu bezahlbarer, sicherer und nachhaltiger Energie zu ermöglichen und den Energieverbrauch insgesamt zu senken. Auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene tritt WECF dabei für eine ehrgeizige und gerechte Herangehensweise an Klima- und Energiepolitik ein.
